The Fabric Series - Cotton French Terry

Ours is: 100% Cotton

Famously used for sweatshirts, French Terry is a knitted fabric that you can easily recognise for having two different sides: one that features loops and soft piles of yarns on one side (commonly the inner part) and a plain and smooth surface on the other.  

Since the cotton fiber is a great conductor of heat, keeps the body cool in summer and warm in winter, so is ideal for all types of weather. Also, Cotton French Terry has great moisture absorbing properties, being able to absorb up to 20 times its weight in water.

Because is a knitted fabric, it is also very elastic and comfortable to move around, perhaps this is why is so popular in children garments. It doesn’t wrinkle easily and is often machine washable (usually in cold water and tumble dry low).
